I came back to Second Life after a long break and realized everything had changed. No mesh clothes back then—just system layers and sculpted prims. Now we've got mesh bodies, heads, BOM, appliers... it's a whole new world.
I didn't want to spend too much RL money, but finding actual freebies? Frustrating.
Blog posts feature some free items, while the rest are paid. Events expire. Stores close or relocate. Group gifts vanish. And "free" items sometimes come with surprise join fees.
So I started keeping my own list.
I'm excited to share this with you, but the truth is that I'm just one person and can't possibly keep up with everything on my own—and that's where you come in. If you spot a dead link, an outdated price, or a changed join fee, just let me know and I'll get it fixed promptly.
(A quick note: for the time being, all items are displayed using the Legacy mesh body and Lelutka head from the free avatar pack. To start, I'll be prioritizing female items, as well as furniture and other objects. Once that initial wave of additions slows down, I'll shift my focus to male items as well.)
What I Do
- ✅ Personally visit every location
- ✅ Test every item that fits my mesh body/head
- ✅ Check for hidden group fees
- ✅ Remove expired or broken listings
- ✅ Note body/head compatibility when I can
- ✅ Accept suggestions and constructive criticism
What SLSavings Is NOT
- ❌ Blog with long posts
- ❌ Sponsored items a regular resident has to buy (exception would potentionally be currently supported popular mesh bodies/heads)
- ❌ Business selling anything
- ❌ Pretending to know everything
